Hytrin

Terazosin (Hytrin) is an alpha blocker used for treatment of symptoms of prostate enlargement (BPH). It also acts to lower the blood pressure, so is a drug of choice for men with hypertension and prostate enlargement.

It works by blocking the action of adrenaline on smooth muscle of the bladder and the blood vessel walls.

TorPharm Hytrin ANDA cleared - Brief Article

TorPharm's abbreviated new drug application for a generic form of Hytrin (terazosin HCl), an Abbott drug used for the treatment of high blood pressure and benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH, received FDA approval. TorPharm will market the drug in 1 mg, 5 mg and 10 mg strengths.
