What Are You Staring At? 9pm BBC2
A documentary which follows the facial reconstruction work of surgeon Iain Hutchison and his team at the Royal London Hospital as they operate on three patients, among them a former model Barbara Aluez (above), who previously went into hospital for the routine removal of an abscess and woke up with half her face missing. Others, meanwhile, reject any form of surgery: Vicky Lucas, has a rare genetic condition called cherubism, and says it is society's intolerance that needs to be changed, not her face.
Teachers 10pm C4
The popular school-set comedy-drama returns for a third series. The central conceit here is that the teachers are no different to the adolescent kids they're in charge of: they smoke behind the bike sheds, drink too much and can't fathom the opposite sex. Simon is missing until later in the run and a new biology teacher (Vicky Hall) arrives in his place. Of course, Brian worries that she fancies him. SP
