On March 15, 2005, the company announced that it had entered into a strategic relationship with Eli Lilly to improve awareness and detection of diabetic peripheral neuropathy, a form of nerve damage that is one of the most common chronic complications of diabetes. For the quarter ended June 30, 2005 NeuroMetrix reported net income of $0.00 per share, compared to a net loss of $1.12 in the prior year. Revenues increased 88% to $8.1 million compared to $4.3 million reported last year. The strong financial performance was particularly driven by the primary care physician market, where NeuroMetrix experienced 230% growth in biosensor usage on a year-over-year basis.
