National Football League Hall-of-Famer Joe Montana will quarterback an education campaign on high blood pressure. In a two-year deal with Novartis, Montana last month agreed to be a spokesman for the company's Lotrel (amlodipine and benazepril hydrochloride) blood pressure-lowering medication and will join Dr. James Rippe in a new Novartis-sponsored public education campaign to raise awareness of the risks associated with high blood pressure.
The campaign will focus on Rippe's three pillars of managing high blood pressure: a healthy diet, exercise and finding the right medication.
