Jake Wittmer, ABC (1919-1981), an ABC chairman and founder, believed that research is inherent to the communication process. The Jake Wittmer Award was established by the lABC Research Foundation, the research and development arm of ABC, with generous support from Bob Berzok, ABC, to recognize outstanding worldwide research commissioned or developed by an organizational communicator. The Jake Wittmer Award is given to an entrant who has used research effectively to develop a successful communication project. All Gold Quill entries that receive awards are considered for this recognition.
