Terazosin

Terazosin (Hytrin) is an alpha blocker used for treatment of symptoms of prostate enlargement (BPH). It also acts to lower the blood pressure, so is a drug of choice for men with hypertension and prostate enlargement.

It works by blocking the action of adrenaline on smooth muscle of the bladder and the blood vessel walls.

Teva USA introduces Terazosin hydrochloride capsules

Teva Pharmaceuticals USA has introduced Terazosin HCl capsules, 1 mg, 2 mg, 5 mg and 10 mg. The product, indicated for treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia as well as hypertension, is bioequivalent to and therapeutically interchangeable with Hytrin (terazosin HCl) capsules. All capsule strengths are available in bottles of 100.
