Acting on behalf of worldwide pharmaceutical giant Warner-Lambert, KingSturge has closed the sale of their Pontypool facility, Usk Valley, to South Wales industrial property specialist Jobnsey Estates. KingSturge is the U.K. Corfac affiliate of The Garibaldi Group, a New Jersey-based corporate real estate services firm. Warner-Lambert is a long-term client of The Garibaldi Group.
In March 1998, Warner-Lambert announced its intention to close the South Wales pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution operation as part of a rationalization of its European operations in response to global competition.
Thcihigh specification site, which at 383,000 square feet, is the largest single site facility in Wales, was established in 1971 and was the manufacturing base for leading consumer healthcare products such as Listerine and Benylin.
