Vertigoheel(r), a prescription homeopathic medication for the management of vertigo symptoms, is manufactured and distributed in the United States by Heel, Inc.
A year-long, double-blind, randomized, controlled clinical trial conducted in Germany compared the efficacy and safety of Vertigoheel to those of betahistine. After 6 weeks, vertigo-specific complaints were significantly reduced in both treatment groups. Vertigoheel and betahistine were shown to be therapeutically equivalent in reducing the duration and intensity of vertigo attacks. Clinical laboratory data and vital signs for each patient remained essentially unchanged throughout the course of the study, indicating a favorable safety profile for both Vertigoheel and betahistine.
