KID SYNDROME IS RARE SYNDROME THAT IS OFTEN difficult to treat. This article is a case presentation of a 17-year-old girl who presented with universally ichthyotic red hue on the face, trunk, and extremities along with deafness and keratitis since childhood and a confirmed diagnosis of KID. She was treated with acitretin. The hyperkeratotic icthyotic lesions responded well to acitretin but there was no change in her ocular nor auditory dysfunction. Acitretin may be a useful treatment for this condition but must be weighed cautiously with its side effect profile, especially in young children.
