Tokyo, Japan, Sept 13, 2005 - (JCNN) - Aventis Pharma, Ajinomoto and Eisai jointly announced on September 12 that the three companies have reached an agreement on the distribution of Actonel Tablet 2.5mg, a bisphosphonate agent for treating osteoporosis.
Under the agreement terms, Eisai will distribute Actonel for Ajinomoto, which is licensed to manufacture and sell the agent in Japan, beginning on October 1. Aventis Pharma currently distributes the agent.
Actonel, which was launched in the global market in 2000, is currently available in 92 countries worldwide.
