Valproic acid or 2-Propylpentanoic acid, is a chemical compound that has found clinical use as an anticonvulsant and mood-stabilizing drug, primarily in the treatment of epilepsy and bipolar disorder; but also used to treat migraine headaches and schizophrenia.
