Prasco Laboratories, a privately-held pharmaceutical company located in Cincinnati, Ohio, announced today it has entered into an agreement with Organon Ireland Ltd. for Cesia(TM)(1) (desogestrel/ethinyl estradiol) Tablets. Cesia (pronounced SESH-ah) is an authorized generic oral contraceptive, therapeutically equivalent to the brand Cyclessa(R)(2) from Organon. Cesia will compete for generic sales with the first generic triphasic regimen product in this market segment.
